Excitment in the Air

I know this isn't a political blog, but I feel the need to say something about Obama wining the election. As I type, I'm sitting in my favorite English speaking cafe, talking to Japanese people and American's alike. The excitement that people are feeling right now is very clear. People believe in this guy. They're excited about him. They're all talking about needing something new, needing a more responsible America. An America that cares about it's own people and the citizens of the world.

I know not everyone who reads this blog will be happy about the outcome, but you can't deny that this is an interesting time to be living in.

Here's to hoping he lives up to the expectations of him.

Kelsey: I am extremely happy about the results of the election. It is a chance for change - something we haven't had in some time. Seems Japan is having it's own political problems these days although I hear a $50.00 per person stimulus pkg. will take place in Japan :) More drinking money! I hear you're going to visit Kyoto on your way home. It's my favorite city in Japan. What's your schedule? Love, Aunt Juana

Kelsey, I just received a note from a friend in Tokyo and he said there is a snow festival where you are. Have you heard of it? It sounds beautiful. I' hope you're there for it.

Love,

Hey Kelsey - I saw Rohini this morning and she was wondering if you received her card! Can you email her or Nimisha and let her know?
The home swim meet is this weekend so I'm hoping I'll be able to call you before I have to go to the pool. I'm anxious to hear from you and to get updates!
Love ya! Mom
