I have arrived! ... In Chicago

Due to series of rather unfortunate mechanical problems, the flight that I was supposed to be on at this time has been shut down. :( I'm very nervous because my university was scheduled to pick us up, but no longer can because of the rescheduling. I'm really hoping that they're keeping an eye on cancellations. I emailed Dixee, my study abroad director, but I'm not sure if she'll get the email on time or if the university will get her email on time.

So I'm sitting here, in my hotel room, eating a Cesar Salad and drinking pomegranate juice and hoping for the best.

The Windy City! Chicago or New Orleans?! Too bad you're not able to see much! At least you don't have to sleep at the airport. Tomorrow you'll be on your way again! Sleep Tight! Love, Mom <3

So it is now Wed. morning in Japan, and I'm wondering where you are, assume you missed your connection to Sapporo and hope someone was there to pick you up and get you to the school. Tell me about landing, what you thought, how you felt, all of it!

It's 9pm CST and Kelsey is somewhere between here and Japan! That's about as narrow as we can give it! We thought she was leaving this morning at 9am after an all-day adventure in Chicago but we found out this evening that they didn't leave until noon! We believe this puts her in Toyko around 3pm Wednesday which is 1am Wednesday our time. From what the BVU advisor told us, a team from Sapporo waited for quite a while for the students to show up! They will keep an eye on them (there's three from BVU) and will be at the Sapporo airport when they arrive! When we hear from Kelsey, if she doesn't post, we'll post for her!

Kelsey - we can't wait to hear everything as well! Love, Mom & Dad
