Hey everyone! No new pictures for you, today. I took some pretty good ones while wandering Sapporo this past weekend, but haven't had a chance to upload them yet. That will probably be in my next post. But, like I said, I spent most of this past weekend just riding the subway, getting off, wandering around, and getting back on.
Last night we went out for karaoke for the second time. It was a blast! Karaoke in Japan is very different from in the US, where you're singing in front of a bar or large group of people. Here, you're in a small room, with drinks and food and just your friends. It is a really good time, especially if you have a large group of friends with you. Things can get pretty crazy!
Other than that, there's not much else to report. My next post, I'll share my pictures from a weekend of exploring as well as a report from my first real class of the semester! Electives start tomorrow!

Hi Kelsey: Just thought I would drop a few lines to you. Today we went to a horse sale in Williston. Grandpa still has the bug to buy a horse. I do not think he could take it t o Texas with him. I talked to your Dad this morning. Everyone seems to be ok. Love you. Grandma
Dad and I were watching that guy who travels the world eating bizarre food and last night's show was on Japanese cuisine. It was pretty interesting! We're wondering about the foods you've tasted and experienced! He also experienced some kind of renewal in a freezing waterfall...been there?!
Enjoy! Can't wait to see all the pictures - people, food, places!
Talk to you soon & have a great day! Hope your new classes are going good!
Love, Mom
Looks like your weather is pretty nice now. Are the beautiful fall colors showing? Isn't the train system in Japan exceptional and clean? Give us the update on your classes, new friends and especially the family you're staying with. Have you been to the food floor of any big dept. stores? Yummy! How about the bread? Tried any cold sake? :) We're going to Tofino on Monday for a few days. It's on Vancouver Island as far west as you can go. We'll go kayaking and walkin the beach. Love, J
We talked to Kelsey this morning - she doesn't get to the cafe that has Wi-Fi very often so she's planning on posting an update with pictures on Tuesday! I'm looking forward to it! Lori
